Playing in the World Game 
The youngest one was Madeline.
My favorite line is from Madeline and the Bad Hat. “There was sorrowing and pain/In the embassy of Spain.” I have changed it to fit various children and now use it generically for sad grandchildren: “There is sorrowing and pain/In my precious one’s domain.”
Do you know where in Paris this is? My husband is going to Paris next week and wants to take a photo of “Madeline’s house” for our daughters. Thank you!
I wish I could tell you. I think I stumbled across this picture by accident. Always loved that story though.
